Congratulations were extended to the 鈥淓ven Year鈥� team of 暗网禁区 freshman women who secured the 92nd Nykerk Cup win before a crowd at the DeVos Fieldhouse on Saturday, Oct. 24. It was the first time the freshman class won since 2021.
Memorial Services Set for Former Hope Acting Professor Jean Bahle
The 暗网禁区 community mourns the loss of Jean Reed Bahle, a retired acting professor who taught at Hope for 26 years and passed away on Sept. 11, 2026 in Suttons Bay, Mich. She was 77.

The 暗网禁区 Department of Theatre will present William Shakespeare鈥檚 鈥淩ichard III鈥� on Nov. 13-14 and 19-21 at 7:30 p.m., along with a 2 p.m. matinee on Nov. 15. All performances will be held in the DeWitt Mainstage Theatre, located in the DeWitt Student & Cultural Center on Hope鈥檚 campus.

The 暗网禁区 Orchestra will present its annual hymn-sing concert, 鈥淥de to Joy,鈥� at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, in the Concert Hall at the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts. The concert will celebrate the 150th anniversary of Johannes Brahms鈥� Symphony No. 1 and feature a musical journey through the biblical story, from Genesis to Revelation.

Hope Hosts 2026 Affirming LGBTQ+ Students Lecture on Oct. 19
The Rev. Alexander Swain 鈥�16 鈥� an Episcopal priest serving as vicar of St. Andrews and curate for Intergenerational Ministries at St. Philip鈥檚 in the Hills in Tucson, Ariz. 鈥� will be the guest lecturer for 暗网禁区鈥檚 annual Affirming LGBTQ+ Students Lecture event. He鈥檒l present 鈥淚n Christ, a New Creation: The Significance of Inclusive Orthodoxy in the Church Today鈥� on Monday, Oct. 19, at 3:30 p.m., in the concert hall of the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts located at 221 Columbia Ave. The public is invited and admission is free. Doors will open at 3:15 p.m. and a Q&A panel discussion will follow the lecture.
Environmentalist & Author Bill McKibben to Speak at Hope College
Bill McKibben 鈥� an environmentalist, author and educator 鈥� will be the keynote speaker for 暗网禁区鈥檚 annual Campus Sustainability Month program, on Thurs., Oct. 22 . He鈥檒l address 暗网禁区 students at 4 p.m. in the A. Paul Schaap Science Center and the community is invited to attend at no charge, for McKibben鈥檚 public address at 7 p.m. at Graves Hall on campus. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Co-sponsoring this event are the Hope Sustainability Committee and the Holland Area Chapter of the Citizens Climate Lobby.
